This workshop is designed for primary teachers who are wanting to initiate or further develop dance performance opportunities at their school in 2024 and beyond. It will provide participants with knowledge of choreographic priorities and principles and skills in movement exercises and creative, compositional and collaborative tasks.
Teachers are invited to take advantage of this professional experience, to further develop their dance work, in choreographic and production terms, realise students’ performance potential and share in valuable teaching and learning strategies.
This workshop is applicable for teachers working in all styles of dance, with Primary students at all stages and experience.
All levels of dance experience (including little or no experience) are welcome and catered for.
It is substantially a practical experience – an opportunity to interact, share and contribute with like-minded individuals in an enjoyable, supportive and non-threatening creative environment.
