The Orff-Schulwerk Association of NSW (OSANSW) proudly acknowledges and celebrates the exceptional contributions of Dr Robyn Staveley to music education and the Orff-Schulwerk community.
For over 30 years, Robyn has been a highly respected and dedicated member of OSANSW, serving on the general committee and various sub-committees, including multiple National Conference organising committees. Her expertise, passion, and commitment have made her an outstanding presenter, sought after for local, national, and international events.
Robyn has made a profound impact on music teachers and music education both in Australia and internationally. A strong advocate for music and movement for all children, she has shared her wealth of experience from teaching music across all age groups—ranging from preschool to upper secondary, and later within universities. Her deep interest in cognitive neuroscience and the science of learning has informed her extensive PhD research, shaping the numerous presentations she delivers to educators worldwide.
Beyond her contributions at the state level, Robyn has represented OSANSW on the Australian National Council of Orff-Schulwerk and currently serves as Chair of the National Orff Levels Committee, playing a pivotal role in supporting the training of teachers in music and movement across Australia.
In 2024, Robyn was honoured as a featured presenter at the International Orff-Schulwerk Forum in Salzburg, where she also represented OSANSW in meetings and international discussions.
