Dr Frederick Osman exemplifies exceptional leadership, innovation, and service in the education sector, with over 30 years of experience spanning tertiary and secondary education. As President of the Teachers’ Guild of New South Wales, Dr Osman has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to fostering excellence in teaching and learning. His contributions include spearheading initiatives that bridge education, community, and industry, ensuring meaningful collaborations and impactful outcomes. Recognised as a Fellow of the Australian College of Educators and the Royal Society of New South Wales, Dr Osman’s dedication to advancing education is evident through his strategic policy development and governance roles. His efforts have profoundly shaped academic curriculum design, accreditation, and student learning outcomes, benefiting both local and international communities.

Dr Osman’s leadership extends beyond education into the broader scientific and vocational sectors. His 20‑year tenure with the Australian Institute of Physics, including roles as Chair, Secretary, and Scientific Meeting Organizer, highlights his contributions to physics education and research. As Chair of the NSW Training Awards since 2017, he has championed vocational education, empowering students with skills for the future. Currently serving as Associate Director (Academic) at Boston University Study Abroad Sydney, Dr Osman continues to influence global education by innovating academic and internship programs. His lifelong dedication to education, policy, and community engagement makes him a most deserving recipient of the Exceptional Service Award.
