This workshop will meet the needs of any teachers who are yet to teach the Stage 6 course. This workshop will unpack the syllabus, address teacher concerns around programming, resources and assessment. You will walk away with information and skills to be able to design and deliver the Stage 6 PDHPE course.

The workshop will be presented as a hybrid workshop.  Face to face delivery at NSW Teachers Federation, Surry Hills and also via LIVE Video Conference (via Zoom).

  • Currently teaching Stage 6 PDHPE for the first time
  • Teaching Stage 6 PDHPE in 2022 for the first time
  • Hope to teach Stage 6 PDHPE in the near future for the first time

Professional Teaching Standards

1.5.2 Develop teaching activities that incorporate differentiated strategies to meet the specific learning needs of students across the full range of abilities.
2.2.2 Organise content into coherent, well-sequenced learning and teaching programs.
2.3.2 Design and implement learning and teaching programs using knowledge of curriculum, assessment and reporting requirements.
3.2.2 Plan and implement well-structured learning and teaching programs or lesson sequences that engage students and promote learning

 

Completing Teaching Stage 6 PDHPE for the 1st Time on 16 November 2021 under NESA’s interim arrangements will contribute 5 hours of NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) Accredited PD in the priority area of Delivery and assessment of NSW curriculum addressing standard descriptors 1.5.2, 2.2.2, 2.3.2, 3.2.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW.
