This course will address the new curriculum content Networks in the Stage 6 HSC Mathematics Standard Course. Participants will familiarise themselves with the new content as well as developing effective techniques for introducing the new material into their classroom.

The course will run as 2 x 2-hour evening sessions online

Session 1 – Network Concepts – Using the terminology of networks and working with networks Including, spanning trees and Kruskal and Prims Algorithms.

Session 2 – Critical Path Analysis – Using the critical path analysis in the optimisation of real-life problems including solving network flow problems

During these workshops’ participants will:

  • familiarise themselves with the content in the Networks topic of the HSC Mathematics Standard 2 course
  • Explore teaching and learning strategies to further enhance the teaching on Networks
