This course has been designed specifically forbeginning teachers and experienced teachers who are teaching the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) HSC (Year 12) Economics desiring to improve their teaching practices.

This course will review the 2019 HSC Economics examination, look at the strengths and weaknesses of the students and consider the implications for teaching and learning.

Participants learn about student performance in the 2019 HSC Economics Examination including areas of strength and development from a senior marker.  Participants with this knowledge will use to improve their teaching and assessment practice in supporting students with learning needs.

Through Zoom, the chat function will allow participants to engage in an online network to discuss and raise questions about HSC Economics, the external examination and ways to approach teaching and learning. Participants will have the opportunity to engage with a diverse range of participants and read through posts and respond to questions asked by the presenter or nominate so that they can clarify and improve their knowledge about  context and processes.
