Nicole Clark drawing from her experience as a NESA Senior Business Studies Marker will present the program which reviews the 2019 HSC Business Studies examination, looks at the strengths and weaknesses of the student responses and considers the implications for teaching and learning.  The program is for beginning teachers and experienced teachers who are teaching the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) HSC (Year 12) Business Studies course and desiring to improve their teaching practices.

Participants learn about student HSC Business Studies performance in the 2019 HSC exam for each section multiple choice questions, short answer questions, business report response and the extended response question options using datasets from the NESA Results Analysis Package. Presenter will provide expertise in how the marking criteria are applied, strengths and weaknesses of each section questions answered to show participants ways to improve student responses. Participants can access knowledge and use HSC marker insights to then develop targeted teaching and learning interventions for their school cohort to prepare them for future HSC exams.

Participants have opportunities to connect with the presenter, a senior HSC Business Studies  NESA marker as well as each other. Through the online chat function and screen audio, participants can share questions and professional practice to improve, clarify, and expand the knowledge, understanding and skills of colleagues.
