This Information Night will focus on a range of areas, such as:

  • How legal aid works in reality
  • The range and levels of legal assistance available
  • How legal aid is provided
  • Access to legal aid and its limitations
  • The types of target groups supported by legal aid
  • The ways that Legal Aid NSW collaborates with stakeholders, including other community legal organisations.

There will also be an opportunity for discussion and question time.

This Information Night will be highly relevant to teachers of both the Preliminary and HSC Legal Studies courses, particularly relating to the role and nature of legal representation (including legal aid), disadvantaged groups and access to justice.
