The annual Society and Culture NSW PIP day is designed for students sitting the HSC in 2019.
Experienced teachers will provide strategies for success related to components of the PIP, Research Methods, Topic Choices, Ethics and Writing with analysis and synthesis.
Alongside the student workshops, the association will also run TWO free ONE hour professional learning sessions related to planning and preparing for the PIP. Attendees will select ONE of these sessions based on their experience level; one will be for new teachers to the subject and one will be for extending the skills of experienced teachers. The focus of these workshops will be on how best to support student completion of their major Project in the HSC course through advice regarding planning, sequences, and scaffolding relevant skills related to research, evaluation and synthesis.
