Number Strategies and Interventions for K-6 Mathematics, will review strategies and skills to effectively assess student understanding throughout instruction in order to intervene successfully to help all learners achieve online and classroom objectives. Exploring ways to ‘notice the mathematics’ and be aware of the learning outcomes and ‘where to go to next’.

Participants will look at being able to ‘notice the mathematics’ and be aware of the learning outcomes and ‘where to go to next’. Whether a student needs an extended timeline or a different approach, effective teachers are always on the lookout for additional resources and strategies to add to their repertoire. Participants will explore approaches to various mathematical skills and games to help struggling students construct deep meaning for numbers, in the online and classroom environments.

Mathematics teachers in K-6 will have time to reflect on strategies to effectively assess student understanding throughout instruction in order to intervene successfully to help all learners achieve outcomes.
