The purpose of the course is to increase participant understanding and knowledge of the structure and content of the updated syllabus, both for teachers’ previously delivering school developed Child Studies courses and those interested in offering the course for the first time.

The program of the day will provide participants with opportunities to investigate issues such as:

  • Background information about why the Child Studies syllabus was
  • Unpacking the syllabus,
    • Structure of the syllabus explained,
    • Content of each of the 15 modules
  • Example programs and assessment tasks
  • Suggested resources provided.
  • Creation of quality units of work and authentic assessment tasks.

Who should attend: Teachers who have previously delivered school developed Child Studies courses and those who are new to teaching the Child Studies course.
