The focus of this workshop will centre on a concept for a Drama summative assessment task aimed at Stage 2 and Stage 3 students. The assessment task asks students to create an original piece of performance drawn from their work in another KLA, such as Science, HSIE, PDHPE, English.
This workshop will examine closely the key features of the assessment task, how it relates to the Drama outcomes and outcomes in other KLAs, and what skills the students will need to have to complete the assessment task successfully. By breaking down the assessment task in this way, workshop participants will leave with a deep understanding of the drama syllabus, and the place of drama forms and the drama elements.
This is a practical based workshop where teachers will leave with a thorough understanding of the Drama Stage 2 and Stage 3 syllabus, and how it can link and extend learning in other KLAs.
