Workshop presenter Deke Sharon is an American singer, arranger, composer, director, producer and teacher of a cappella music, and is one of the leaders and promoters of the contemporary a cappella community and a pioneer of the contemporary a cappella style.
The workshop will include two days of open rehearsals, four seminars and a masterclass, and will culminate with a concert for all participants.
The workshop includes free sheet music. ASME, in conjunction with Armidale Music Teachers Association and New England Conservatorium of Music, will provide Education Kits for all teachers with concept analyses for Stages 5 and 6 to accompany the scores.
As well as the experiential lessons of the workshop, teachers attending will take with them valuable resources to be used in their schools and classrooms.
