Two-day English Conference, Friday 31 May and Saturday 1 June 2019
An English teacher is always evolving, becoming, aspiring. Like the English teacher, our discipline is constantly developing, with different provocative questions to be explored and debated. What remains constant are the conceptual understandings that are at the core of English and our love of the subject. Whether as beginning or experienced teachers, we can maintain our passion and be renewed through the conversations that are part of professional learning events.
The question for us and the focus for this conference is: How can we pass on our passion for English to our colleagues and to our students through our practice?
Teaching approaches: realising enthusiasm
Strategies for ECT teachers
Teaching standards: guiding practice, mentoring and leadership
Concepts: from theory to practice 7-12
HSC: all courses including English Studies, Extension and EAL/D
