The Dance Educators Professional Association’s (DEPA NSW) Annual Conference is an opportunity for teachers to reconsider, re-evaluate, and re-engage with the knowledge, understanding, skills and practices that inform the study of dance as an art form in education. The theme of the 2020 Conference, In Motion, recognises that dance education is constantly moving and evolving and that as educators we should take each opportunity to become change agents for the benefit of our students.
Presenters will include current NSW dance educators, dancers from the performing arts industry and leaders in education pedagogy. Through a range of sessions participants will engage in learning to update and refresh knowledge and practice targeted to teaching Stages 4-6 Dance in the NSW Curriculum (6.2.2). Participants will have opportunities to engage in structured and unstructured conversations as part of reconnecting with the dance teaching community (7.4.2)
