New year, new teacher accreditation system

The NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) is  pleased to advise, after a longer than expected delay that a new online Teacher Accreditation Management System (eTAMS) is now available.

The previous system had been operating since 2006 and was significantly out of date.

The new system is intended to better manage and support teacher accreditation now and into the future.

However as with any system update of this scale we expect some issues in terms of functionality that may still need to be resolved over the coming week.

If you have feedback on the system or are experiencing specific issues you should let NESA know. Send an email to contactus@nesa.nsw.edu.au with the subject line “eTAMS”.

All eligible pre-2004 teachers have now been emailed account login instructions and can expect to receive an accreditation Welcome Kit, including certificate of accreditation within the next 2 weeks. The Welcome Kit also outlines what is involved in maintaining your accreditation including professional development requirements.
