PTC NSW is the peak umbrella body that provides support, advocacy and member services to its member associations. PTC NSW unifies teaching associations bringing together professional interests and education activities throughout NSW.

PTC NSW represents professional teacher associations at all levels of education; including early childhood, primary, secondary and tertiary. As well as all systems and sectors covering Government, Catholic systemic, Independent schools and Tertiary institutions.

PTC NSW is an endorsed provider of NESA registered professional development for NSW. PTCNSW Professional Learning Committee, accredits member association courses under NESA across all three levels i.e. Proficient, Highly Accomplished and Lead. Courses submitted for accreditation are reviewed by the PL Committee which provides feedback, to ensure all courses are of a high standard and meet the NESA requirements.

The Role – Associations Support Officer 

Based in Auburn this full time (Monday to Friday) position is a great opportunity for a motivated candidate to contribute and to develop their skills.

Working in a team of 7, there are two primary purposes for this role- membership management and processing professional learning applications seeking NESA accreditation.

Key responsibilities:

  •         Handling multiple association memberships and assisting to develop member benefits
  •         Implementing member retention and recruitment strategies and maintaining database records
  •         Liaising with member associations re: their membership records and queries
  •         Check the application’s compliance with the NESA standards
  •         Attend all PTC NSW professional learning meetings ( on-line), prepare and submit required feedback and reports.
  •         Be the point of contact for all PL queries from member associations

Desirable:

  •         Have 2-3 years of experience gained as a membership officer or administrator. Any experience in a membership association will be highly regarded.
  •         Experience with Word Press
  •       Teaching background or knowledge of Australian Professional Standards for Teachers.

  •         Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  •         Strong attention to detail
  •         Excellent verbal and written communication skill
  •         Self motivated and solution focused
  •         Able to work collaboratively within a team.
