Teacher Expression of Interest

Thank you for your interest in participating in the Professional Teachers’ Council NSW (PTC NSW) HSC International Project. This initiative aims to deliver the NSW Higher School Certificate (HSC) to schools internationally, commencing with Year 10 in 2025, Year 11 in 2026 and Year 12 in 2027. We invite experienced and committed NSW HSC teachers to apply to join this exciting project, which will support the global recognition and hybrid delivery of the NSW HSC.

About the Project

PTC NSW, in partnership with PTC NSW financial member teacher associations, is leading the delivery of the NSW HSC to accredited schools internationally. This project supports educational access and excellence for students internationally. PTC NSW in collaboration with NESA, ensures alignment with NESA requirements and global best practices.

Professional Teachers’ Council NSW (PTC NSW) will play a key role in helping participating teachers adapt their methodologies to meet international standards and a hybrid delivery model through several targeted strategies:

  • Promotion of Best Practices
PTC NSW actively promotes best practices in teaching by facilitating the sharing of resources and expertise among educators. This collaborative environment enables teachers to learn from one another and adopt evidence-based approaches suited to hybrid delivery and diverse international contexts.
  • Professional Development
The council and member associations will provide ongoing professional development opportunities, ensuring project teachers are equipped with the latest pedagogical strategies, knowledge and resources. These programs are designed to help teachers align their methods with both NSW and international educational standards.
  • Resource Sharing and Collaboration
PTC NSW will support the sharing of teaching resources, lesson plans, and assessment strategies tailored for international cohorts. This collaborative approach will help teachers modify their materials and methods to suit different cultural and educational backgrounds, as well a hybrid delivery model.
  • Expertise Exchange
By connecting NSW HSC teachers with international peers and experts, PTC NSW will encourage the exchange of innovative teaching techniques and insights, fostering adaptability and global awareness among a broad audience of educators.
  • Supportive Networks
PTC NSW will build project networks and communities of practice, enabling teachers to discuss challenges, share solutions, and receive guidance on adapting to international standards.

Through these mechanisms, PTC NSW will ensure participating teachers are well-supported in delivering high-quality, internationally relevant education through a hybrid delivery model.

All teachers, teaching in this project will be remunerated based on their qualifications, experience and based on time spent on administration and teaching.
