HSC Student Support

Here you will find useful information about key dates for the Higher School Certificate and the School Certificate Examinations and links to the NSW Education Standards Authority online student support. Great HSC resources are available here.

Students login using their four-digit personal ID number (PIN) and student number, which gives access to their exam timetable and past exam papers. Students can also access HSC syllabuses, practice tests, notes from markers and other support materials.

HSC Showcases and Exhibitions

Every year the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) host a range of events designed to celebrate the works of the previous year’s HSC best of the best!

Events include:

ARTEXPRESS: an annual exhibition of exemplary artworks created by students for the Higher School Certificate examination in Visual Arts.

CALLBACK: showcases exemplary performances and compositions by HSC students of Dance.

SHAPE: technology exhibition launched in 2016, features a selection of exemplary Major Projects from Higher School Certificate Design and Technology, Industrial Technology and Textiles and Design students.

ENCORE: is a program of outstanding performances and compositions by students from the Higher School Certificate Music examinations.

InTech: exhibits outstanding Major Projects from Higher School Certificate Industrial Technology students.

OnSTAGE: is a presentation and exhibition of group and individual performances and projects by Higher School Certificate Drama students.

Writers OnSTAGE/OnSCREEN: features rehearsed readings by professional actors and directors of two scripts from individual projects of the HSC Drama examination, plus the screening of three exemplary videos. OnSTAGE and Writers OnSTAGE/OnSCREEN may include contemporary political and social issues and some language that may offend. It is advisable to take this into consideration when deciding the age group of students invited to attend.

Texstyle: is an exhibition of Higher School Certificate Textiles and Design major projects.

Young Writers Showcase: is an anthology of some of the extraordinary Major Works in print, sound and visual media submitted for the HSC English Extension 2 course.
