Friday 7 and Saturday 8 May

The VADEA 2021 Conference program will focus on presentations and workshops from artists and visual arts and design educators who investigate the dynamic between diverse and resounding voices, provoking action and critical points of intersection and exchange in our contemporary world.

Artist keynote presenters include Abdul Abdullah and Julie Gough, and this year the conference will feature masterclass workshops with artists including Alice Couttoupes and Abdul Abdullah.

The conference will propose ways of re-envisioning how we perceive, voice and enact meanings across diverse contexts of local, global, personal, cultural, peripheral and transparent truths. Opening up the interplay between visions and voices prompts refocusing and moving between empowering accounts of authentic experiences and perceptive actions.

Call for papers opens early 2021
