The English Association will be holding their annual conference on Saturday 2 June 2018, The Craft of Writing, Australian Literature resources: how to read, research and respond to Australian literature and creative writing.
This year’s conference will equip HSC English teachers with knowledge of current academic developments theories of Australian literature. The course will develop strategies to incorporate these insights into teaching and learning programs focused on understanding the representation of Australian themes in Australian literature.
In addition to this, it will also equip HSC English teachers with knowledge of creative writing strategies for short form responses. Published authors will lead workshops focused on the short form creative writing demanded by the Stage 6 English syllabus. Teaching materials will be created during these workshops.
