• Physical Theatre with Frantic Assembly

2 Day Course (in partnership with The Arts Unit) Friday 1st – Saturday 2nd November, 9:00am – 5:00pm (Lunch included on both days)

World renowned theatre company, Frantic Assembly, have been commissioned to provide a two-day course for Drama NSW and The Arts Unit members. A  specialist practitioner will facilitate a workshop that develops collaborative theatre making skills. The foreground of these workshops will be based on movement and physical theatre.

Participants will learn how Frantic Assembly approach the theatre making process, and develop specific skills in movement, collaborative and physical theatre. On the final day, participants will also create/devise their own piece of theatre, drawing upon the knowledge, skills, and techniques learned throughout the two-days.

The knowledge and skills learned from this workshop will enable participants to select from a wider resource repertoire when designing and implementing teaching and learning programs for the Drama classroom.

This workshop also provides participants with the opportunity to partake in a unique professional learning experience, with an international theatre company, which will broaden their professional knowledge and practice.

Please note that only one teacher per school will be admitted into the two day course to maximise opportunities from a range of schools.
