SEMINAR 1: LET’S TALK ADJUSTMENTS

Marina Laing, Senior Project Officer at Special Education Curriculum Standards NESA, will give practical guidance re-providing Adjustments for students with disability accessing the regular curriculum and assessment experiences. The content will be similar to previous PALS seminars held in recent years.

SEMINAR 2: DISABILITY PROVISIONS

Neal Crocker, Manager, Student Records and Support and Frida Hristofski, Head of Student Support, NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) will deliver the second seminar. It will focus on the rationale and process of applying for Disability Provisions for the HSC Examinations. By attending this seminar teachers, executive and Learning Support Personnel will have a better understanding of the Disability Provisions Program. They will be able to evaluate more clearly the need for submitting an application for individual students and to ensure their applications provide appropriate supporting documentation.

SEMINAR 3: YARC WORKSHOP

Annette Guterres and Joanne Raheb-Mol, of the Professional Association for Learning Support will present the seminar on the YORK Assessment of Reading Comprehension (YARC). Participants will learn how to administer the YARC, interpret results and enter data online.
