This course will be presented by Sharon McLean, Vice-President, Geography Teachers Association of NSW & ACT. The course aims to provide professional learning that will enable teachers to enhance their understanding of key geographic tools and skills that are essential to the Stage 1 to Stage 4 Geography syllabus.
Key tools such as maps and visual representations will be used to demonstrate skills such as using different types of maps, locating places using latitude and longitude, area and grid references, scale and direction. Application and interpretation of visual representations will also be covered.
