The Stage 6 Studies of Religion aims to develop in students an awareness of the nature and significance of religion for individuals and society. Whilst acknowledging that there are a number of different ways of studying religion, the SOR syllabus promotes critical reflection and encourages teachers and students to develop a deep appreciation of the role that religion plays in society.
Led by an experienced practitioner and researcher in the area of religious studies, participants will explore the broad objectives and specific outcomes of the Studies of Religion syllabus and engage with a range of experiential strategies that seek to support an inquiry approach to learning that encompasses key course concepts as well as content.
