This year our opening keynote will be delivered by Peter Gould and Michelle Tregoning will close the conference.

Peter Gould has worked in the public education system for over 38 years, and has written a range of curriculum documents including Problem of the Week, Cooperative Problem Solving in Mathematics Years 5-8, and Fractions: Pikelets and Lamingtons.

Peter will be discussing the importance of developing a shared mathematical meaning in the classroom for communicating and understanding in student learning.

Michelle Tregoning is a primary school teacher currently working as the numeracy leader for Early Action for Success, a NSW department initiative designed to enrich the mathematics learning of students in 555 schools across NSW.

Michelle is the current chair person of the PAM committee and is also a PhD student. She really enjoys the endless creativity and curiosities that working as a teacher offers
