We are very pleased to launch our 2022 Conducting School, a collaboration between ANCA NSW/ACT & ABODA NSW. Join three of Australia’s most experienced educators to learn the art of conducting.
Level 1 – Combined Instrumental & Choral Conducting
Welcome to the podium! How to start, stop and manage everything in between with Elizabeth Scott
Level 2 – Choral
Gesture and rehearsal technique that promotes healthy singing with Brett Weymark
Level 2 – Instrumental
Learn to float like a butterfly and sting like a bee! An introduction to phrase conducting and BEING the music with Stephen Williams
Level 1 is designed for those with limited training in conducting ensembles. In level 2, participants can choose to specialise in choral or instrumental direction. Conductors in level 2 will have the opportunity to conduct an ensemble on the final day (Instrumental – NSW Police Band; Choral – Sydney Philharmonia Choir); while observers will participate in all classes & workshops, minus time in front of an ensemble on the final day.

Level 1: Members – $350; Non-Members – $450; Concession – $250
Level 2 Conductors (limited spaces): Members – $350
Level 2 Observers: Members – $300; Non-Members – 350; Concession – $200
