2007 Quality Teaching Awards

NSW Minister for Education and Training and Australian College of Educators, NSW Branch, Quality Teaching Awards 

These Awards are funded by the NSW Minister for Education and Training, supported by The Daily Telegraph and awarded through processes undertaken by the Australian College of Educators, NSW Branch.

They recognise teachers who are outstanding in their chosen fields - early childhood, primary, secondary, university and TAFE.

Eligibility: All permanent, part-time or casual teachers from government and non-government schools are eligible for nomination.

Assessment Process: The assessment process involves comments from three referees, extensive career portfolios, in-class observation and interviews with colleagues, parents and students. Candidates are judged on their professional knowledge, understanding, skills and values using criteria developed by the Australian College of Educators (NSW Branch).

Every Award winner receives a cheque for $500 and one year's full membership of the Australian College of Educators.

Nominations close - Friday 11 May 2007
Referee Reports due - Friday 22 June 2007
Learning Portfolios due - Friday 29 June 2007
