The Churchill Trust is an Australian Trust established in 1965, the year in which Sir Winston Churchill died. The principal object of the Trust is to perpetuate and honour the memory of Sir Winston Churchill by the award of Travelling Fellowships known as Churchill Fellowships.
The Trust awards approximately 100 Fellowships each year at an average cost of approximately $25,000 each. The purpose of the Fellowships is to study or investigate a project overseas of a kind that is not fully available in Australia.
Fellowship topics and applications allow applicants to devise the research agenda themselves. There are also a number of sponsored Fellowships that may be of interest to teachers.
