Australian Joint Council of Professional Teacher Associations
(AJCPTA) Professional Teachers’ Council NSW is the representative for NSW on the Australian Joint Council of Professional Teaching Associations (AJCPTA).
AJCPTA is a federation of state and territory joint councils of teacher professional associations representing over 120,000 teachers, from government and non-government schools within Australia. It provides a national voice for Australian teachers from all sectors and all levels of education.
The objectives of the AJCPTA are to:

Represent member associations collectively in initiating and responding to communication with governments, employers, tertiary institutions and other organisations where appropriate; |

Allow for an expression of a common voice on educational and professional matters in the interests of member associations; |

Enhance the public profile of member associations and highlight the contribution they make to education |

Support and promote the activities that assist and develop members of member associations in the practice of their profession; |

Facilitate networking, communication and sharing of resources between member associations; and |
|
