PTC Annual General Meeting 2006
Held at the Professional Teachers Council Conference Centre on November 29, 2006.
The Annual General Meeting included reports from the PTC President and Treasuer as well as the election of new Board Directors for 2006-2007.
As guest speaker for the evening, Andrew Fraser gave a presentation on "Teacher-led innovation and development to improve professional practice"
Andrew Fraser
Andrew Fraser has been in education for over 20 years. He has been a teacher, curriculum adviser and leader in the Catholic sector. He has been involved in a range of curriculum, policy and strategic developments. Currently Andrew works with the curriculum directorate team with CEO Sydney where his responsibilities range from leading the Early and Middle Years numeracy strategy to Indigenous education. He has been involved in the recent development of CEO Sydney's Learning Framework and Quality Assessment statement.
Andrew is passionate about kids and their learning and about teacher professionalism.
In 2005 Andrew was awarded a Churchill Fellowship to investigate teacher-led innovation and development to improve professional practice. This took Andrew to Canada, England, Scotland and Germany in the first half of 2006. Andrew's report is available for download below:
