Measuring Up
Thursday 5 November, 4.15pm – 6.00pm
Venue: Kent Road Public School, Eastwood
Measuring Up will focus on the key aspects of learning to measure as described in our Mathematics K-6 Syllabus. These aspects include understanding how to repeat or iterate units of measure, the critical skills of choosing and using measurement tools and units, the importance of developing measurement language and the practiced skill of estimating measures. The afternoon will consist of a plenary address, followed by hands-on workshops to address each stage.
Audience: primary teachers
Target Group: Early Stage 1 to Stage 3, KLA: Mathematics
